Well it’s almost that time of year to head down to New Orleans and join the Fire & Spice cook team for Hogs For The Cause weekend. This event raises money to help support families who have children battling brain cancer all over the country !! Last year was the first year I participated. After meeting two families and their kids who were beneficiaries and survived treatment and the fact that it hit close to home, I knew that I’d be coming back to help do whatever I could for these kids. Over the 4 day event and the months leading up to it last year, we raised $4.3 million !! We’re looking to break that amount this year ! Our team goal this year is $50k ! All donations are tax deductible and we are 501(c)(3), approved by the IRS ! Even though this event is held in New Orleans, the money is spread throughout the country!
