Thank you for stopping by my page! Anyone who has spent even the smallest amount of time with me understands why I am so passionate about this amazing charity.
If you don't know; My family's entire world came crashing down when our amazing boy, Brady, was diagnosed with a brain tumor at 4 years old. We felt helpless, scared, and challenged to find any light in what seemed like the darkest of times. Hours in the PICU turned into days and then weeks. After Bradys first (FIRST) emergency brain surgery, we were painfully aware that this would not be a short or easy path. Lives were uprooted, jobs were lost, many tears were shed, and faith was tested. What held us together was an amazing support system of our friends and family, and the unwavering belief that failing to support Brady in every way possible was not an option. Now, at 11, Brady has endured and conquered two emergency brain surgeries (each over 10 hours long), two birthdays spent recovering from surgery, countless rounds of chemo, and more time spent in the hospital than he has out of one. His fight might not be over, but every day he's stronger, smarter, funnier, kinder, and a true blessing to our family.
Unfortunately, for many families, their stories start the same as ours, but their experience is vastly different. They don't have that support system, the access to financial support, the "safety net" of knowing that no matter what happens, they can be there for their child.
Childhood cancer is not just a health crisis – it’s a financial burden that no family should bear alone. At Hogs for the Cause, we’re providing families with more than just a place to stay. We’re offering critical support, both financially and emotionally, through grants for families, housing at Hogs Houses, and cutting-edge medical units like our HemOnc units, which we’re expanding across the country to bring state-of-the-art care to those who need it most.
Our mission also includes advancing pediatric cancer research to ensure that every child has the chance to survive and thrive.
