Imagine YOUR child waking up after surgery… Brain Surgery…. In a cold hospital bed, they reach out thier hand feeling for thier mother’s touch. Feeling for thier father’s comfort, a father’s protection… but you are not there… they are cold, scared, in pain, and all alone.

You couldn’t be there because you saved up every penny for your child to get the care & procedures they need to survive. The hospital is across the country and you dont have enough to be with them too. Let’s be honest, you don’t even really have enough for all the procedures truly needed.

Unfortunately that happens to several families all across the nation. Poor sick ill children all alone. Some don’t even survive the procedures. Maybe the last time they see their mommy & daddy is when they leave.

The child doesn’t understand the cost behind what’s needed. The child doesn’t understand the time taken off of work for treatments and therapies. The child is very aware though that you can’t be with them. That you can’t hold them when they are scared, or sick, or sad. For some children it’s their final memories. How much that must hurt a families wellbeing.
